Title: The Snow Queen by Doyle
Fandom: Angel (with Buffy universe cameos)
Pairing: gen, with flirting
Categories: action, casefile
Length: 13,500 words
Warnings: n/a
Review:
Set after Doyle dies and before Gunn joins the team as a regular member. When Angel and Wes are abducted at a simple rescue gone wrong, it's up to Cordelia (and her mad recruiting powers) to save the day.
As I'm not a huge fan of brooding vampires (be they of the Angel variety or the Spike variety), I don't read much Buffy 'verse fics. Fortunately, this fic features neither, as it's all about Cordelia and her delightfully practical approach to saving the day. Between her superpower (bitchiness), Gunn (even more awesome than in canon), and the Buffsters (elevating squabbling to an art form, heh) you have a fun, fast-paced fic that could (and absolutely should) have been an episode of the show.
